As you probably guessed, like all nouns, pronouns, and adjectives, possessives conjugate. Since possessive pronouns exist in so many forms – a word for all seasons as it were – we have declined them by person and number. As you will see, like all other OE adjectives, possessives must match their respective nouns in case and number, so although ‘mine’ is a singular word, OE would distinguish between “my book” and “my books.”
